Durham University Paediatrics Society

We are the newly founded (2013) Durham Paediatric Society, based down at Queens Campus. We share a link with Newcastle Paediatric Society and together we try and get as many medics involved in Paediatric Medicine as we can. 

The team are all very keen on Paediatrics as a future career, so we try our best to organise as many fun activities as we can relating to Paediatric Medicine. We're keen on getting involved with national conferences and workshops, organising talks from the best-in-the-field Paediatric Doctors, as well as trying to create more practical based activities such as child trauma and resus sessions.

 

We actively take part in fundraising, whether this be through cake baking, leg waxing or simply shaking a bucket we are as committed as we can be to the children's charities we support. 

 

A unique aspect of our society is that we run Teddy Bear Hospitals - check out the tab above for more infomation on this.
